Middle of the Map Fest is only three years old, but has made tremendous strides in Kansas City. Yet even while they’re skyrocketing to success, they keep it very community oriented. You’ll still see your Lawrence or Kansas City neighbor sharing the same stage as Divine Fits or Grizzly Bear. There’s an awful lot of love and respect coming out of and going into that music festival, and audiences are reciprocating the feeling.

Hey guys, please please please check out this awesome two-day mini local music festival at the Jackpot this weekend. It’s going to be boss. Also, it raises money for folks traveling to SXSW. If you haven’t seen Radkey yet, this would be your chance. Also, watching The Sluts and Up The Academy back to back is probably the closest thing we’ll get to heaven on earth. Reblog if you can!
