The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.

“Well, this is goodbye. I mean, we obviously have nothing in common. I’m a genius, you’re all fucking wankers. You’ll never see me again. You don’t deserve to see me again.”

I haven’t posted to my Tumblr account in a while because I was getting reeeeally tired of monitoring how many people were stealing my photos and crediting them as their own (there were just too many instances). But I felt it important enough to hop on real quick and make a quick point about a local musician.
I’ve been pretty impressed with Mat Shoare (yes, with one “T”). I always liked him solo, but since he started performing with a full band I haven’t been able to stop paying attention. His music paints a perfect picture of heartache. I got to watch him and the band perform in Lawrence over the weekend.
Aside from this gig, he’s pretty good at running a local label and throwing an annual music festival in Kansas City. But if you want to see photos of him performing over the weekend, you can click here.
I hope he sticks with it, because I only see this developing into something wonderful.
We’ve written about him several times, but here’s a more recent glowing review from April.

May you all have a peaceful Ramadan!

I was walking home today from my friend’s house and I walked past a house and this dog just stuck his head underneath the fence.
